The Vision

What is Dholera SIR?

The Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is India's first greenfield smart city, planned from the ground up as the flagship node of the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Spread across roughly 920 sq km in Gujarat — nearly twice the size of Mumbai — it is a fully government-backed project shaping the future of urban and industrial India.

Located about 70 km from Ahmedabad, Dholera is being built with trunk infrastructure, dedicated utility corridors and smart-city technology in place before development, making it an investment-ready ecosystem for high-tech industries and forward-looking buyers alike.

The Semicon Story

India's emerging semiconductor capital

Gujarat was the first state with a dedicated semiconductor policy, in synergy with the Government of India's India Semiconductor Programme. Under the Gujarat Semiconductor Policy 2022, Dholera has been declared a "Semicon City" — positioning the region as a national hub for chip fabrication and electronics manufacturing.

India's first state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility, with an investment of INR 91,000 crore by Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited (TSMPL), is being established here — anchoring an ecosystem of allied ancillaries, Electronics Manufacturing Services, photovoltaic cells and other sunrise sectors.

Key Highlight

The Activation Area (TP 2A & TP 4A) spans about 22.54 sq km of contiguous, plug-and-play industrial land — designed for ultra-large industries with 24x7 power, water, CETP, STP, natural gas and advanced ICT infrastructure.
